Since its inception in 2000, NNO has served 21 communities of Ndola and Luanshya providing services to fight poverty, HIV/AIDS, food insecurity, clean water deficiency, and social injustice.

The organisation places special emphasis on investing in children, women, and girls because their community-based interventions have shown that when you empower a girl or a woman, she becomes a catalyst for positive change.

NAYO was established in 2004 by four local youths to help other young people impacted by HIV/AIDS.

NAYO provides a holistic approach to youth and community development through a variety of interventions including running an HIV testing, prevention, and treatment clinic as well as services to breastfeeding mothers and children under five. 

They also provide educational support, lead youth clubs, and facilitate village savings and loan groups.  Since inception, NAYO has supported over 50,000 people in the Nancholi area of southern Malawi.

Since 2015, Fount for Nations has been complimenting the efforts of the Government of Malawi in building equal learning opportunities for Malawi’s children living with disabilities in order to ensure no child is left behind. They partner with teachers, parents and caregivers, health workers, and entire communities to provide a holistic experience for children.

Programmes include providing teacher and therapist training, early detection of disability, family support, early childhood education, and advocacy on behalf of children with disabilities. Fount for Nations is headquartered in Lilongwe.

Through a community-based holistic care model, Kawempe Home Care delivers quality healthcare, psychosocial, and nutritional support to children and people with HIV, TB, cancer, and other health related issues.

Their New Hope Children’s hostel provides children with cancer access to specialist care and a secure and safe home environment whilst they undergo treatment. Founded by clinical psychologists in 2000, Ububele’s models of community-based mental health care address the emotional trauma of South Africa’s past, the ongoing mental and physical effects of the cycle of poverty, and the daily challenges faced by individuals, families, and communities.

Through the development and dissemination of training programmes, psychosocial support, and home-based care—all with an early childhood development focus—Ububele is supporting children to grow up to be emotionally healthy adults, competent parents, and concerned citizens. Founded in 2000 as a direct response to the HIV/AIDS pandemic that was ravaging their Ufafa Valley community, Woza Moya established a community caregiver program to provide door-to-door counselling and ensure that people, especially youth, get tested for HIV and other chronic diseases, have access to medications, and adhere to treatment.

Today, the centre also provides early childhood development services, sustainable livelihoods and youth development programs, a mobile health clinic, and programs to support orphaned and vulnerable children.

Associação Hixikanwe started as a small support group for women in Maputo Province affected by HIV/AIDS. The group transformed into an organization providing psychosocial support, economic strengthening, and prevention activities.

Hixikanwe uses the research-based Community Adherence Treatment Supporters (CATS) model, to support adolescents on antiretroviral treatment.
