Rahab Uganda has a specific mission: to restore the self-image of girls and young women affected by sexual exploitation and human trafficking and empower them to proactively engage in personal transformation.

In addition to fighting human trafficking and exploitation, Rahab runs a residential shelter in Kasangati Gayaza that provides holistic services to children and young people between (9 -18 years) who have been victims of trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.

Rahab also operates a runs a drop-in centre that offers psychosocial support, education, economic skills development, early childhood development, health and nutrition services.

Since 2005, their outreach programme has reached 15,000 children and has fully served 400 girls.

Through a community-based holistic care model, Kawempe Home Care delivers quality healthcare, psychosocial, and nutritional support to children and people with HIV, TB, cancer, and other health related issues.

Their New Hope Children’s hostel provides children with cancer access to specialist care and a secure and safe home environment whilst they undergo treatment. Kawempe’s home education support program provides opportunities for orphan children and those impacted by HIV/AIDS to attend and stay in school.

Wells of Hope facilitates prison visits to strengthen relationships between the children and their parents and are drawing the attention of government to address the specific needs of this target group.

African Community Center for Social Sustainability (ACCESS) works alongside their community of Nakaseke to provide medical care, education, and economic empowerment opportunities to orphans and to children and their caregivers, with an aim to create long lasting, sustainable change.
