Since its inception in 2000, NNO has served 21 communities of Ndola and Luanshya providing services to fight poverty, HIV/AIDS, food insecurity, clean water deficiency, and social injustice.

The organisation places special emphasis on investing in children, women, and girls because their community-based interventions have shown that when you empower a girl or a woman, she becomes a catalyst for positive change.

NAYO was established in 2004 by four local youths to help other young people impacted by HIV/AIDS.

NAYO provides a holistic approach to youth and community development through a variety of interventions including running an HIV testing, prevention, and treatment clinic as well as services to breastfeeding mothers and children under five. 

They also provide educational support, lead youth clubs, and facilitate village savings and loan groups.  Since inception, NAYO has supported over 50,000 people in the Nancholi area of southern Malawi.

New Zimbabwe Early Venture in Education (NZEVE) provides early intervention and ongoing support to hearing impaired children and their families living in Manicaland and surrounds.

Since 2000, more than 200 children have graduated from their early childhood education program with 98% of students going to to complete their primary education in classes where sign language was used.

Since 2006, Mukisa has supported more than 5,000 children from Kampala and three rural districts in Uganda who are living with various form of disabilities.

Mukisa’s services include therapeutic care, provision and the maintenance of mobility, posture, and support devices, medical and nutritional support, educational services, family empowerment programs, and advocacy and awareness campaigns.

Providing a future for Tanzania’s orphans

 

Malaika Kids provides a positive and safe environment for vulnerable orphans where they can fully develop and grow into responsible, confident adults.

Mailaika first welcomes children to their reception home. When a family member cannot be located, the child moves into the Malaika Children’s Village in Mkuranga. The concept of the village is unique and based on a family unit that consists of a maximum of ten children who live together with a mother in a family home.
